MPV Hire Criteria
When hiring an MPV from Rent Direct, your policy is subject to a certain set of criteria which you must meet. This includes the following:
- All drivers must be aged between 23 and 69 to be eligible for hiring a Rent Direct MPV.
- All drivers must have a full, valid, UK driving licence that has been held for at least 24 months.
- In addition to your valid driving licence, customers must produce two further forms of identification.
- All MPV insurance is subject to an insurance excess at the cost of the hirer.
- All MPVs are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the start of the hire period, and customers are expected to return the vehicle with a full tank at the end of the hire agreement.
- A deposit is required during the booking process, which will be refunded in full upon safe return of an undamaged MPV with a full tank of fuel.
- At Rent Direct, we do not allow our hired MPVs to be driven out of the UK mainland.

Insurance Excess and Deposit
Unlike a broker that leases cars from a third-party, we’re an independent company, and we own all of our vehicles, which is why we want to make sure our fleet is well looked after. Vehicle hire excess insurance is at your cost, the hirer, and is stated when you book a vehicle online with us.
We require a £200 deposit to secure your hire vehicle. This will be refunded to you in full upon safe return of our vehicle in an undamaged condition and with a full tank of fuel.

Are you able to accommodate last-minute vehicle hire requests?
We work hard to ensure we always have something available for last-minute hires. Whilst we will almost always be able to accommodate next-day collections, for on-the-day requests, get in touch with us and a friendly member of our team will do their best to get your rental vehicle needs sorted sharpish.
Does your fleet contain different MPV sizes?
An MPV is ideal if you need extra space for people or luggage. Unlike a standard-sized car, MPVs can carry extra luggage and extra people. Our fleet includes a wide range of small to large MPVs, from compact 7-seater SUVs like the Skoda Kodiaq to 9-seater MPVs like the Ford Tourneo Custom.
Do you have a minimum rental period?
Here at Rent Direct, we don’t have a minimum rental period for renting a vehicle from us. However, to benefit from our most competitive prices, the longer you hire the vehicle for, the better the price we can offer.
Is mileage restricted on car hire?
You will need to specify the mileage you expect to drive during your vehicle rental period. Doing so will mean that we can give you a more accurate and favourable quote for your hire agreement.
