Unlike traditional long-term car leases, which are very inflexible and can tie you in for a number of years, or renting by the day, which proves expensive, our long-term car hire agreements mean you can rent a car for a series of weeks or months with minimal commitment.  

What type of car can I rent on a long-term basis?

We have a wide range of cars for hire in the Rent Direct fleet. Choose from a variety of different makes and models; whether you need a small city car, family-sized hatchback, or a large SUV, we can help. 

Are you looking for a specific model or car to hire? Simply let us know the make and model of the car you are looking for, and we’ll do our best to make sure you can rent it from us. We are proud to be an independent hire company (as opposed to a broker), which means we own all of our hire cars. As such, we can create a bespoke car lease to suit your needs, no matter how long you require the vehicle.

Hiring a car on a long-term basis can offer many advantages over buying a car outright or financing one. Think of long-term car rental as an alternative to owning or leasing a car. Many people only consider hiring a car for short-term periods - such as a holiday or stop-gap - but it is actually a cost-effective way to drive a new model of car for less. 

Whether you need to hire a car for a number of weeks, months or even years, then long-term car rental is a great solution if you don’t wish to commit to finance plans - such as Personal Contract Purchase or Lease Purchase options. 

Can I brand a long-term hire car?

Here at Rent Direct, we allow our car hire customers to brand their vehicle - as long as you choose to rent the car from us for at least a year. Although vehicle wrapping and signwriting a car isn’t as commonplace as with a van, you may wish to use your hire car for business reasons, so we are more than happy to be accommodating of this. 

Is mileage restricted with a long-term hire car? 

Just like our short-term car hire agreements, you’ll need to specify the mileage you expect to drive during your long-term car rental period. Doing so will enable us to provide you with a more accurate and favourable quote for your long-term car hire agreement. 

Although you’re not beholden to a minimum car lease period, to get the best possible price, we recommend renting the car for at least 3 months.
