Car Hire Criteria

When hiring a car from Rent Direct, your policy is subject to a certain set of criteria which you must meet. This includes the following:

• All drivers must be aged between 23-69 to be eligible for hiring a Rent Direct car. 
• All drivers must have a full, valid, UK driving licence that has been held for at least 24 months.
• In addition to your valid driving licence, customers must produce two further forms of identification.
• All car insurance is subject to an insurance excess at the cost of the hirer.
• All cars are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the start of the hire period and customers are expected to return the vehicle with a full tank at the end of the hire agreement.
• A deposit is required during the booking process which will be refunded in full upon safe return of an undamaged car with a full tank of fuel. 
• At Rent Direct, we do not allow our hire cars to be driven out of the UK mainland.
